Areas of Expertise
I am an ICEEFT certified Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist – (International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy).
I understand no relationships and marriages are the same, and I tailor our sessions together to address challenges unique to you. We will work together to understand each of your emotional reactions and have clarity on how you are impacted by each other's emotions that drive repeated behaviors. Please click the Areas of Expertise to learn more about EFT couples therapy.
Discernment Counseling is for couples who are not ready to do EFT couples therapy. I will help you decide whether to try to restore your marriage/relationship to health, move toward separation and divorce, or take a time out and decide later.
You will each be treated with compassion and respect no matter how you are feeling about your current marriage/relationship. I emphasize the importance of each of you seeing your own contributions to the problems and the possible solutions. This will be useful in future relationships even if this one ends.

Insurance Information
I do not accept insurance and am considered an "out-of-network provider". Your PPO may partially reimburse you if you submit a claim to them. I can provide you a "superbill" to receive reimbursement. You will need to pay the full session fee at the time of service.
Please contact your insurance to determine if your coverage allows reimbursement for seeing an out-of-network provider.
Good Faith Estimate – You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your mental health care will cost. Under the law, healthcare providers must give patients who don’t have insurance or are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for any non-emergency psychotherapy services. You can ask your healthcare provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For more information, visit http://www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 985-3059.
